Friedrich Wilhelm Joseph von Schelling

One of the other great minds of German classical philosophy, Schelling (1775-1854) was an idealist, with alot of emphasis in his work placed on the idea/notion/concept of the absolute and nature, and the work of earlier philosophers and mystics like Spinoza and Jakob Boehme. the study of the natural world for Schelling was important in formulating a belief in the unity of spirt and nature and its existence within and without as the being of God itself - Reason in this sense is also the revealing of the absolute.
His writings though varied in their emphasis over time, as Schelling also has some beautiful writings on the philosophy of art wherein art is a sublime act of our highest freedom too it seems and no doubt also an expression of the absolute. I have not read all of Schelling's work though so i can explain all of his work here.
